Unrelated to the fan remake we mentioned a few weeks ago, developers Codeless Studio has provided an update on their own fan-made Silent Hill remake that’s being made in Unreal Engine 5. That update involves 10 minutes of gameplay footage of the player exploring the Midwich Elementary School, including a few instances where the player faces off against monsters.
The team is apparently not stopping there. Over on Codeless Studio’s Twitter for the Silent Hill Remake, the team has been posting even more images of the project, including tests for Silent Hill‘s famous fog, along with some cool snow effects. It’s just a shame that this won’t be released to the public. At least, that’s what Codeless Studio had initially said about the project.
But again as always, those rumours of Konami resurrecting the Silent Hill brand with multiple titles don’t seem to be going away anytime soon, so it might not matter all that much if those rumours come to fruition.
Big thanks to DSOGaming for the update.
