Storyboard Media has sold North American rights for Lair to Hunt for the Wilderpeople and American Animals distributor 1091 Pictures, writes Deadline.
In the film, “A fractured LGBTQ family are forced to face their demons, metaphorically and literally, as they unwittingly become embroiled in a man’s attempt to prove the existence of the supernatural in order to overturn a friend’s murder conviction.”
“The film follows Dr. Steven Caramore (Morbius star Corey Johnson) who specializes in debunking the supernatural. When a friend (The Mummy and Resident Evil’s Oded Fehr) is accused of murder, claiming he was possessed by an unseen menace, Caramore begins to question his own beliefs. He investigates his friend’s claims, setting off a chain of events that forces Caramore and a young family into a battle for survival.”
The U.K. based LGBTQ-infused horror movie was written and directed by Adam Ethan Crow.
The cast also includes Anya Newell (pictured), Aislinn De’ath, Alana Wallace, Kashif O’Connor and Lara Mount.
