The Fall of the House of Usher Vinyl Soundtrack from Waxwork Records

The Fall of the House of Usher’s soundtrack is available on vinyl for $38 from Waxwork Records. The score is composed by frequent Mike Flanagan collaborators the Newton Brothers (The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep).

Shipping on June 21, the 2xLP album is pressed on 150-gram seafoam green colored vinyl. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket featuring matte satin coating designed by Matt Needle with a 12×12 insert and liner notes by the Newtons.

Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix

My Best Friend’s Exorcism and The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires author Grady Hendrix will publish Witchcraft for Wayward Girls on January 14 via Berkley.

Described as “Rosemary’s Baby set in a home for unwed mothers in 1970,” the 432-page horror novel follows a group of young women who discover a guide to witchcraft.

Street Sharks Pop from Funko

If you don’t want to drop $25 on Mattel’s Street Sharks 30th anniversary figures, Funko is providing an affordable alternative with a Streex Pop. Due out in July, the vinyl figure costs $11.99.

Streex may not have been the group’s leader (that’s Ripster), but his roller blades and vibrant color scheme made him a fan favorite for ’90s kids. While Funko has become passé, the sculpt on this one pushes it beyond the normal Pop style.

Arcadian Blu-ray from RLJE Films

Arcadian will survive on Blu-ray on July 23 via RLJE Films. Nicolas Cage stars in the post-apocalyptic action-horror film.

Meagan Navarro’s review said, “Arcadian may not fully work as a whole, at least where the drama is concerned, but it more than succeeds as a thrilling monster movie with one of the coolest new movie monsters in recent memory.”

Jaeden Martell, Maxwell Jenkins, and Sadie Soverall co-star. Benjamin Brewer (The Trust) directs from a script by Mike Nilon (Braven).

Special features include: cast & crew interviews and visual effects behind the scenes.

Direct 2 Video by Jeff Whitmire

Bonus item this week! Jeff Whitmire, whose horror-comedy parody songs have earned him the nickname The Weird Al of Horror, has launched an Indiegogo campaign for his sophomore album, Direct 2 Video.

The 31-track double album will feature songs inspired by Halloween, Child’s Play, The Blair Witch Project, Terrifer 2, and more.

Perks include a digital copy for $10 and a CD for $25, among others.
