Underworld will be released on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on December 19 as part of Kino Lorber’s Kino Cult line. It has been newly mastered in 4K from the 35mm original camera negative with Dolby Vision/HDR.

It has reversible artwork with its alternate title, Transmutations. Special features include a new commentary by Pavlou, an alternate cut, behind-the-scenes footage, and a gallery.
’80s Horror Print by Kevin Tiernan
Gallery 1988’s horror-inspired “Cover Your Eyes” exhibit is loaded with great artwork, but I’m partial to Kevin Tiernan’s tribute to ‘80s horror, “A Dead-cade Under the Influence.”
The longer you look at it, the more subtle references you’ll discover. 12×24 giclee prints are available for $27.
Inferno Vinyl Soundtrack from Death Waltz
Inferno’s original motion picture soundtrack is available on vinyl for $45 via Death Waltz. The score is composed by Keith Emerson (Godzilla: Final Wars) of Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
Featuring six previously unreleased tracks, the 2xLP albums is pressed on “Mater Tenebrarum” yellow with purple splatter colored vinyl. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket featuring artwork by Luke Insect.
The Black Phone Pops from Funko
I know the Funko Pop! trend has gotten out of hand, but they still have some surprises up their sleeve. Case in point: The Black Phone. Three different versions of Ethan Hawke’s The Grabber – standard, chase variant, and alternate bloody outfit – are coming in January. They sell for $12.
August Underground’s Penance Blu-ray from Unearthed Films
August Underground’s Penance will be released on Blu-ray + DVD on December 12 via Unearthed Films. The 2007 sequel follows 2001’s August Underground and 2003’s August Underground’s Mordum, both of which recently hit Blu-ray.
August Underground creator Fred Vogel directs from a script he co-wrote with Cristie Whiles. The pair also star in the found footage exploitation film.
Special features include three audio commentaries with Vogel and crew (one of which is new), four new interviews, Disemboweled: Behind the Bile documentary, deleted scenes, and more.
