Jurassic Park Virtual Pets from Tamagotchi
Ready for a double dose of ’90s nostalgia? Tamagotchi – the beloved virtual pet keychain from our youth – is celebrating Jurassic Park’s 30th anniversary with dinosaur virtual pets. Due out in March, amber and egg versions are available to pre-order for $20.99.
Depending on how you interact with your baby dino, they may evolve into over 20 different dinosaurs, including rarities. If you don’t take proper care of them, they’ll leave you. When your prehistoric pal is in a bad mood, give them a snack (leaves and nuts for herbivores; meat and fish for carnivores) or play one of three mini-games (Which One?, Escape, and Catch Food).
Stephen King will publish Holly on September 5 via Scribner. It follows private detective Holly Gibney, who first appeared in King’s Bill Hodges trilogy (Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, End of Watch), then in The Outsider, and most recently in If It Bleeds.
In the 464-page suspense novel, Holly reluctantly accepts a case involving an elderly couple harboring an unholy secret in their home. She must summon all her formidable talents to outthink and outmaneuver the shockingly twisted professors.
Evil Dead Apparel from Alternate Ending
Alternate Ending’s Evil Dead drop is the most terrifying merch you will ever experience! While we await Evil Dead Rise, show some love for 2013 remake and Jane Levy as Mia.
Shipping in 4-8 weeks, the collection includes two T-shirts for $27 each, two sweatpants for $40 each, two hats for $25 each, three stickers for $3-4 each, and four 12×18 posters for $10 each.
Dark Glasses Blu-ray from RLJE Films
After a decade away, Italian horror maestro Dario Argento returned to the director’s chair for Dark Glasses. Currently streaming on Shudder, the Blu-ray will drop on February 14 via RLJE Films. No special features are listed, but the pre-order is only $14.99.
Argento co-wrote the script with frequent collaborator Franco Ferrini (Phenomena, Demons). Ilenia Pastorelli stars with Asia Argento, Andrea Gherpelli, Mario Pirrello, and Andrea Zhang.
Frankenstein & Bride ReAction Figures from Super 7
Give your valentine a monstrous gift this year from Super 7! The Frankenstein & Bride of Frankenstein ReAction Figures two-pack is packaged in a heart-shaped box. Each 3.75″ scale retro-style toy features Valentine’s Day-inspired coloring include glow-in-the-dark pink. It’s $45, but you can’t put a price on eternal love.
