It’s that time of year again. And what better way to get into the Halloween mood than to indulge in some H.P. Lovecraft? For VR users (and everyone, really), developer Bit Golem has just the thing, as they’ve released their VR adaptation of Lovecraft’s Dagon on Steam for free!
The game takes about 30 minutes to complete, and is a “100% faithful adaptation of the original story”. The game supports controllers, as well as mouse and keyboard, and the devs plan to update with VR support next month.
And, if you like what you see, you can grab the $5 DLC with audiobook and ebook to support Bit Golem.
If you’re unfamiliar with the story of Dagon, the tale centres on a former ship officer and morphine addict, who recounts an incident during World War I involving his escape from a German sea raider. After his escape, the officer soon comes into the presence of the sea deity Dagon itself.
