What would the Universal Monsters look like in full color? Not that we’re suggesting those classic movies should ever be fully colorized, but it’s an interesting thought nonetheless.
The Twitter account Hammer Horror Films, on that note, shared a little Halloween treat this week, tweeting out a 2-minute video that colorizes select clips from the black & white classics.
The video gives colorized makeovers to all the classic monsters, including Dracula, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, and the Bride of Frankenstein, and even 1922’s Nosferatu.
Mind you, this is hardly the first time we’ve seen Frankenstein’s monster and the Creature from the Black Lagoon with bright pops of green, but it’s fascinating to see actual clips from the classic movies given the modern day makeover. Bride of Frankenstein looks particularly cool here, as we’ve never seen the character presented in anything but black & white.
Enjoy. And be sure to follow @HorrorHammer1 over on Twitter.
