As expected, hot on the heels of last month’s update (and not to mention the teasing of additional ghost types not long after that), Kinetic Games has done their treats for Halloween with a new update for their hit game Phasmophobia. Not only do players have the chance to take their ghosthunting endeavours into the woods, but also new ghost types and a new difficulty.
The Maple Lodge Campsite is a new medium-sized map, complete with “more unique objects, higher object density and more visual detail.” Other locations will receive a similar overhaul with at a later date.
In addition, the new Nightmare difficulty has been added to “be a challenge mode for those seeking the most intense gameplay Phasmophobia has to offer.” The other difficulty settings have also been given a revamp.
Lastly, players can now look forward to several new ghost types. These new ghost types have an increased chance to spawn for the duration of the Halloween event.
