Before her breakout performance in HBO’s smash hit “Succession”, star Sarah Snook appeared in a handful of horror films, from Saw VI director Kevin Grueter’s Jessabelle to Predestination and Winchester. Now, she’s returning to the genre after taking the lead role in the Oz horror-thriller Run Rabbit Run, reports Deadline.
Snook is replacing Elisabeth Moss (The Invisible Man) who is out for scheduling reasons.
Daina Reid (The Handmaid’s Tale) is directing the film about a fertility doctor whose firm grasp on the cycle of life is put to the test as her young daughter begins to exhibit increasingly strange behavior.
The site notes that STX is no longer aboard for global distribution and XYZ has taken control of the project. Novelist Hannah Kent wrote the script from an original idea developed with Carver Films.
Pre-production begins this month ahead of shoot in Victoria and South Australia.
