Once again, the fans come through. We all know the story of P.T., and how fans have gone to great lengths to try and preserve it. One such fan known as ROBYER1 on Reddit has managed to beat others in recreating the hallway of P.T. in Oculus Rift. That’s right, you can now play the infamous demo in VR! Sort of.
The P.T. hallway and bathroom can now be set up to use the Oculus Quest’s virtual home environment when you start up the headset, allowing you to wander around the P.T. house! ROBYER1 has recreated much of the scene using Blender, as the majority of the existing assets online were game rips that “were rather dodgy”, and needed to be optimized.
Unfortunately, you can’t solve any puzzles to escape the house, but ROBYER1 has included a few Easter Eggs for fans to enjoy. To get this up and running for your Oculus Quest/Quest 2, you can download Sidequest on your PC or mobile phone to install it to the Quest. From there, hit up the link above and download the assets.
Yeah, it’s a bummer that it’s not the “real” thing, but there are plenty of other projects on the way that are leaning more towards a 1-to-1 recreation. Plus, this is P.T. in VR. And if that’s not scary, then what is?
