What do we know about the future of Don Mancini‘s “Chucky” series? Well, for starters, we do know that a second season is DEFINITELY on the way, likely arriving sometime *this year*!
Last year’s Season 1 finale ended the first season of “Chucky” on one hell of a high note, so much so that it’d be easier to recap what *didn’t* happen than what did.
Jake finally came face-to-face with Chucky and totally kicked his ass; Devon and Jake solidified their relationship in a beautiful way; Junior was killed off; Tiffany removed all four of Nica’s limbs so she can never do her harm again; Chucky created an army of possessed dolls; Chucky also butchered his way through an entire movie theater while James Whale’s Frankenstein played on screen; Kyle was (maybe but probably not) killed in an explosion; and Andy had his first encounter with his longtime adversary’s bride, with Tiffany making her grand return.
So then, what can we expect from the new season? SYFY sat down with stars Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, and Christine Elise, pressing them for teases, hints, and most of all, hopes.
“I have a feeling [Mancini] is gonna sneak that kid back in,” Tilly hints in the video, speaking about the Glen/Glenda character. “The fans are clamoring for it.” Mancini himself had also recently teased the potential return of Glen/Glenda, something he’s likely saving for Season 2 and beyond. The character was mentioned a couple times throughout the first season.
Alex Vincent notes, “Don… his vision is quite often not what we’d expect it to be. Even for people who know him as well as we do. And that keeps us guessing… keeps us surprised.”
“I have a list of things I *don’t* want to have happen,” Christine Elise jokes. “I don’t want to die. I’m just grateful that the character is where she is right now… unapologetically badass.”
