CD Projekt RED has finally announced Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 and Xbox Series versions. Not only that but there’s a free trial of the game available today for players to try on the Xbox Series.
The announcement was made during CD Projekt RED’s Twitch stream, which also included new gameplay footage of the new-gen version of the game in action and a meaty 1.5 patch. The announcement was prematurely spoiled, thanks to Xbox Netherlands dropping a Tweet earlier this morning that fans (and noted insider Nibel) picked up before it was deleted.
As expected, the new-gen version of the game comes with “ray tracing features and 4K with dynamic scaling, faster loading times, and a variety of other visual and technical improvements.” The developers also made other improvements to the game, including revamped talent trees, and being able to customize your apartment.
Those who have previously played Cyberpunk 2077 can now reset perk points and redistribute them. Perks have also been tweaked, including the removal of some that were deemed unnecessary, and some new perks have been added in their place.
The new-gen enhanced version of Cyberpunk 2077 has launched today for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED’s new-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also expected later this year.
