Those of you Resident Evil fans wondering just if or when Capcom would be offering up current-gen enhancements for the recent games for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, wonder no more. Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes, along with Resident Evil 7, will be getting visual enhancements later this year!
No exact date was announced for the upgrades, but those who currently own these games on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be eligible for a digital upgrade at no additional cost. PC players won’t be left out, either, as Capcom will be releasing upgrade patches for all three games will also be released for at no additional cost when the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions launch.
As for the enhancements, players can expect “cutting-edge features including ray tracing, high frame rate and 3D audio”, while PlayStation 5 owners will be getting support for Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers.
