“It’s totally unpredictable,” star Oscar Isaac says of the upcoming Disney+ series “Moon Knight” in a brand new featurette video, which explores the approach and tone of the show.
“Moon Knight” takes flight on Disney+ March 30, and this new look at the series covers the duality of the character and the show’s approach to the topic of mental health.
“Ultimately, [we wanted to] take the mental health aspect incredibly serious,” Isaac notes of the show’s intentions. You can watch the brand new “Moon Knight” featurette below.
Mohamed Diab (Clash) is on board as director and showrunner, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Resolution, Spring, V/H/S: Viral, The Endless, Synchronic) directing as well.
“Moon Knight” was developed by Jeremy Slater (“The Exorcist”).
Ethan Hawke will be playing the series’ lead villain.
Moon Knight was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin, introduced in Werewolf by Night #32 (August 1975). THR describes the Marvel character as “an ex-Marine turned mercenary whose multiple alter egos allow him to better fight crime.”
Moon Knight has to date never appeared in the world of live-action, and the Disney+ series is reportedly set to pave the way for the character to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Moon Knight has recently been voiced on TV by Diedrich Bader (Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six), Gideon Emery (“Avengers Assemble”) and Peter Giles (“Spider-Man”).
