A classic tale from the H.G. Wells library will be getting a new adaptation from Paramount Players, Deadline reports today, but at this time it’s not clear which story we’re dealing with.
The project from Wes Ball‘s OddBall Entertainment is said to be a “very loose adaptation stemming from the “mythology” that surrounds one of the writer’s most iconic titles.”
Some of the “most iconic titles” from the H.G. Wells library include:
- The Time Machine
- The Island of Doctor Moreau
- The Invisible Man
- The War of the Worlds
Laura Gillis is writing the screenplay. Deadline also notes that a previous version of the script was written by T.S. Nowlin (The Adam Project, Pacific Rim: Uprising).
Wes Ball (The Maze Runner) will produce. Stay tuned for more.
