In addition to David Cronenberg’s new movie Crimes of the Future, Variety suggests this week that a brand new movie from David Lynch is also expected to premiere at Cannes this year.
This hasn’t been confirmed at this time, but Variety reports on a top secret and highly mysterious David Lynch project that *might* be playing at Cannes next month.
Variety reports, “Most surprisingly, according to two well-informed sources, there will even be a David Lynch feature film which has been completely off the radar and stars Laura Dern — either as a cameo or a supporting role — along with some other Lynch regulars.”
The site later mentions in their report, “The feature could either be a standalone movie that [Lynch] shot under the radar or an extended pilot of his upcoming series “Wisteria” which is rumored to star Lynch regulars including Laura Dern and Naomi Watts.”
We’ll know more later this week. Stay tuned…
This year’s 75th Cannes Film Festival runs from May 17 to May 28.
