Universal Pictures has begun airing a brand new 30-second spot for Jordan Peele‘s sci-fi horror Nope during this past weekend’s NBA playoff games, exclusively on ESPN and ABC.
The spot, starring the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry, is allegedly inspired by one of the most terrifying moments from Peele’s new film, Nope.
It is directed by acclaimed American photographer Kwaku Alston.
The film reunites Peele with Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out), who is joined by Keke Palmer (Hustlers, Alice) and Oscar nominee Steven Yeun (Okja, “The Walking Dead”, Mayhem) as residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery. Nope, from Universal Pictures and Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, arrives in theaters worldwide July 22, 2022.
