Nick Castle Teases That ‘Halloween Ends’ Will Have a “Surprising” Conclusion

Filming has wrapped on Halloween Ends, set to be the final film in David Gordon Green‘s trilogy that kicked off in 2018. That also means it’s (likely) the final battle between Michael Myers and Jamie Lee Curtis‘s Laurie Strode, which is of course something we’ve been promised in the past. But this time, well, this could really be it for this particular storyline.

Original “Shape” actor Nick Castle will once again make a brief appearance as Michael Myers in Halloween Ends, and it’s Castle who provides an interesting new tease this week.

Nick Castle told the crowd at Steel City Con (via ComicBook.com), “My good friend James Jude Courtney, he’s doing 99% of the work in the last three movies as Michael Myers and doing a wonderful job I think. I just saw he was over at the editing room where they’re completing the first cut of Halloween Ends with David Gordon Green, of course, as the steward of the ship.”

“It sounds like it should be pretty good,” Castle continues. “I do a little cameo in this new one. We’ll have the end of at least the David Gordon Green version of Halloween. I think there might be more because of all the success of this [trilogy], but [Green] will have a very surprising storyline… ending for everyone. It’s absolutely something I don’t think you would have ever guessed in terms of the way it’s going to unroll.”

Halloween Ends is dated for theatrical release on October 14, 2022.

David Gordon Green has recently teased that there will be a four-year time jump from the events of Kills to the events of Ends, and it’s said to be more “intimate” and “contained.”

We don’t yet have any plot information, but the ending of Halloween Kills built towards the final confrontation between Laurie and Michael, a battle that will likely take center stage in the trilogy’s final installment. Last year’s movie ended with Michael (seemingly) ending the life of Karen Strode, so the fight between hero and villain is more personal than ever before.
