A true indie slasher film, Terrifier 2 will return to 700+ theaters alongside big studio horror Smile and Halloween Ends. Only one of these is completely uncut and unrated.

The extended theatrical run is happening after the film earned an astounding $400,000 in its special event slot last Thursday night. The chaos continued through the weekend Damien Leone‘s epic slasher currently sitting around $1.4M in total. These are huge numbers for a limited release playing only once or twice a night in most theaters.

As I previously noted, Terrifier 2 is special for one particular reason – it’s fan-driven. The film wasn’t studio-backed and we had no money for marketing. Everything was grassroots and done for the love of the film and the genre. This is a unique moment in horror history we’re all participants in.
