Jordan Peele‘s third horror movie Nope has scared up $166 million at the worldwide box office thus far and will release on 4K & Blu-ray 10/25. If you need even more ways to watch, there’s good news: Nope will also debut on Peacock next month.
Nope will begin streaming exclusively on Peacock starting November 18, 2022.
Its debut on the streaming service comes with a slew of bonus features that includes a new documentary, featuring interviews from cast and crew and in-depth behind-the-scenes footage.
In Nope, “Residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.”
Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) reteams with Peele on the mysterious movie, with the cast also including Steven Yeun (“The Walking Dead,” Mayhem) and Keke Palmer (“Scream”). Michael Wincott (The Crow), Barbie Ferreira and Brandon Perea, Terry Notary (The Square), Devon Graye (I Don’t Feel at Home in this World Anymore), and Osgood Perkins (director Gretel & Hansel) also star.
Peele’s latest has a lot to unpack upon rewatches, not least of all Terry Notary’s unsettling portrayal of Gordy the chimpanzee. I wrote in my review that “Jordan Peele takes on the summer blockbuster with soaring spectacle and scathing subtext. Peele’s latest retools the summer blockbuster, nestling a fascinating indictment beneath accessible crowd-pleasing thrills.”
Nope is the latest addition to Peacock’s growing library of recent genre releases that includes Beast, Jurassic World Dominion, The Black Phone, and The Northman.
