The Farm 51 are back again with new free DLC for their sci-fi horror RPG Chernobylite. Just in time for Halloween is the new Green Walls DLC available for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, which adds a new game mode, along with a new area of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone to explore, and a new weapon.
If you’re up for a challenge, the Green Walls DLC introduces a new hardcore mode for Chernobylite that takes no prisoners, both literally and figuratively. Players will only have one save, and will experience immediate death if they don’t have enough chernobylite. A new statistic in Madness has also been added, which permanently decreases your mental condition. The new mode also decreases your companions’ morale, and you no have the ability to retrieve weapons from killed opponents.
The Chernobylite developers haven’t forgotten about the fans who love to explore in the game, and have added a new area in the Green Walls DLC to the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone in the Cooling Towers. Two powerful but never completed structures are situated near reactors 5 and 6, and carry with them high levels of radiation. As for the new weapon, players can get the legendary Soviet weapon: the automatic Makarov pistol.
And if you feel like spending a bit of money, there’s also the new paid Zone Bard DLC that allows players to choose music tracks using a radio, and listen to both new and old available guitar pieces.
And seeing as it’s that season, you can now get Chernobylite and the available DLCs for 40% off each on Steam and the Epic Games Store until November 1, and on GOG.com from October 27 to November 3.
