Shaun Hamill’s excellent debut novel A Cosmology of Monsters is getting a small screen adaptation, with Deadline reporting today that the series will be an “elevated family drama.”
From Saloon Media, “the book will be adapted into an eight-part series.”
A Cosmology of Monsters follows the Turner family, who operate an immersive haunted house experience but begin to realize real monsters are at their door.
Caitlin D. Fryers (Wyonna Earp, Private Eyes) is creator and executive producer and will work with Saloon’s SVP, Scripted Content, Melissa Williamson, on development.
Blue Ant Media-owned Saloon’s Michael Kot and Hamill will also Executive Produce.
The book was published in 2019. It’s a heartbreaking fantasy-horror tale of a family torn apart by very real threats we can all relate to, with an ambitious supernatural backdrop.
