By now, there have been hundreds of Diablo IV players that have succumbed to the legions of The Burning Hells. And what better way to eulogize the fallen warriors of Diablo IV than with Megan Fox?
Yes, you read that correctly. Blizzard’s fastest-selling title of all-time has entered into a dark partnership with Megan Fox to read eulogies of players who have died in Diablo IV. In order to do so, all players have to do is use the hashtag #DiabloDeaths on Twitter or TikTok. Fox will read out the selected eulogies on June 8.
Sure, it’s gimmicky. But it’s all in good fun. It certainly beats having a company use your real-life headstone to advertise their video game in exchange for paying for funeral costs. Which is exactly what Acclaim Entertainment offered to do back in 2002 for Shadow Man: 2econd Coming.
Blizzard is certainly pulling out all the stops with Diablo IV. In case you missed it, they’re already developing two expansions, though no details have been revealed as of yet.
Diablo IV is out now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net. And if you haven’t already, check out Reyna’s take on Diablo IV.
#DiabloIV is here, embrace the bloodshed.
Share videos of your in-game death on Twitter or TikTok using #DiabloDeaths for a chance to have your eulogy read by @meganfox on June 8th. pic.twitter.com/dSgG2yuNbS
