In the wake of A Quiet Place and 65, Scott Beck and Bryan Woods have set up their next project, with Deadline announcing the A24 horror movie Heretic this afternoon.
Beck and Woods wrote the screenplay and they’re also directing the film.
Additionally, Hugh Grant (D&D: Honor Among Thieves) is in talks to star.
Deadline reports…
“Plot details are officially under wraps, but the film is rumored to center on two young women of faith who are lured into a cat-and-mouse game in the home of an eccentric man.”
Scott Beck and Bryan Woods wrote A Quiet Place for director John Krasinski, and they just wrote/directed the high concept Adam Driver dinosaur movie 65 earlier this year.
The duo also wrote/directed Haunt and wrote this year’s Stephen King film The Boogeyman.
