PlayStation players who were looking at Xbox and PC players last year with envy over Ebb Software’s Scorn will finally get their turn in the game’s Giger-esque world later this year. While no exact release date has been announced for the PlayStation 5 version of Scorn, there will be a physical version available in addition to the digital version. Plus, we get a new teaser announcing the game.
On top of the announcement for the PS5 release, Scorn has also hit a milestone with 2 million players accrued on Xbox and PC since its launch.
As for the PlayStation version of the game, players can also look forward to solving the game’s flesh-based puzzles in 4K resolution at 60fps with the help of the PlayStation’s haptic & DualSense features, which will aid in further immersion.
As for that physical version, you can also pre-order the deluxe edition of the game from select retailers soon both for PS5 and the Xbox Series, courtesy of Maximum Games. The physical edition includes the full game, a limited edition SteelBook case, the game’s original soundtrack by Adis Kutkut and Brian Williams, and a digital artbook.
Scorn is currently available on the Xbox Series, the PC via Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Check out Jay and Neil’s take on Scorn from an episode of “The Inventory” on the Safe Room podcast.
