Following in the wake of last year’s The Mean One, more indie Christmas horror is on the way to theaters later this year with Werewolf Santa, announced by Screen Daily this week.
Screen Daily reports that the horror-comedy Werewolf Santa will be released in theaters in both the United Kingdom and North America in November 2023.
Additionally, the site notes that “101 Films International has secured international sales rights excluding UK and North America to UK horror-comedy Werewolf Santa.”
The film centers on Santa Claus, who turns into a werewolf on Christmas Eve and wreaks havoc in a small seaside town; with a local YouTuber setting off on an adventure to save Christmas from this new threat.
Airell Anthony Hayles (Midnight Peepshow, Spider Inside Her, They’re Outside) wrote and directed the holiday movie, which premieres at the UK’s FrightFest later this month.
Mark Arnold, John Bloom and Emily Booth star.
