GSC Game World has again delayed the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl. Originally scheduled to be released this year with a rumoured December 1st release, the long-anticipated FPS will now be released Q1 2024. Despite the delay, GSC Game World released a new trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, showing off more of the game’s world.
Entitled “Bolts & Bullets”, the description for the trailer reads, “Take a look around! Looks like the same old Zone, at a first glance… Freezed [sic] at the time and always transforming, primed to struck at the unforeseeable moment. But don’t let her trick you: She has changed from the last time you were here. And to let the stalker survive, she’ll demand the same!”
The fourth entry in the cult favourite series, Heart of Chernobyl sees the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone having changed dramatically after the second massive explosion in 2006. Violent mutants, deadly anomalies, and warring factions have made the Zone a difficult to survive. Nevertheless, artifacts of unbelievable value have attracted many people called S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s, who have entered the Zone at their own risk striving to make a fortune out of it, or even to find the truth in the heart of Chernobyl.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be available for the Xbox Series, the Xbox Game Pass, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are available via the official site.
