‘In the Fire’ – Amber Heard Horror Movie Rated “R” for “Violent Content”

Amber Heard (All the Boys Love Mandy Lane) returns to the horror genre in the upcoming In the Fire, which Saban Films brings to theaters, On Demand and Digital in October.

In the Fire will be available in theaters and at home on Friday, October 13.

The film has been rated “R” for…

“Some violent content and brief sexuality.”

Rotten Tomatoes previews, “Amber Heard stars as a doctor who travels to a remote plantation to treat a young boy who demonstrates unusual abilities. The local priest (Eduardo Noriega), however, believes the boy is possessed and doesn’t believe conventional medicine can help him. This is the first foray into the genre for director and co-writer Conor Allyn, whose best known film to date is the 2021 neo-Western drama No Man’s Land.”

Chatting with Variety, Amber Heard recently described In the Fire as “a meditation on the almost supernatural powers of love told through a strong-willed and independent woman at the turn of the 20th century.”

Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Sophie Amber, Luca Calvani, and Yari Gugliucci also star.
