For last-gen gamers wanting to play The Game Kitchen’s 2D Soulslike Blasphemous II, you won’t have to wait much longer. Publisher Team17 and The Game Kitchen have announced that Blasphemous II will be arriving on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 2nd. The news comes alongside a new Accolades trailer, just in case you were still on the fence about plunking down some coin for the sequel to the 2019 original.
Following a newly reawakened Penitent One, Blasphemous II takes place after the events of Blasphemous’ “Wounds of Eventide” DLC, and thrusts players back into an endless cycle of life, death, and resurrection as they face monstrous enemies and inconceivable challenges to halt the prophetic birth of a new Child of the Miracle. Featuring three unique weapons to acquire and master, and an enhanced skillset to choose from, players will have to use these new tools to survive and explore a land hell bent on sending them back to the grave as they collect scattered pieces of lore, unpick long forgotten secrets, and avoid deaths final embrace.
Blasphemous II is currently available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Check out Reyna’s review here.
