Released into Early Access on Steam this past April, Dragonis Games’ 4-player Lovecraftian co-op title Eresys has had its first major update in The Abyssal Temple. The update brings with it a new map (the eponymous Abyssal Temple), alongside several new gameplay enhancements.
The new map offers up a “fresh yet horrifyingly familiar” environment that’s designed to challenge both new and veteran players. At the end of it all, you’ll face off against the Abyssal One, a relentless new antagonist that evolves in real-time, based on player choices and actions.
Further enhancing the gameplay, the Abyssal Temple update introduces several new exciting features for Eresys. A new NPC guide in the Council Temple will help you kickstart your Abyssal mission, while a revamped UI objective tracker offers better in-game guidance. Players can also look forward to new collectibles, achievements, and a quality-of-life addition in the form of a chest filled with resources, available in both the Sentinel Island and Abyssal Temple maps.
Dragonis also state that they remain “fully committed” to enriching the Eresys universe. In the coming weeks, the devs will release a series of patches
