Physical media fans looking for more from The Game Kitchen’s 2D soulslike Metroidvania Blasphemous 2 will have a treat next year. After the release of the standard physical release earlier this year, publisher Selecta Play has stepped up to reveal a Collector’s Edition of Blasphemous 2. Set to be released Spring 2024, the Collector’s Edition will be released across Europe and North American specialist retailers for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.
Alongside the full version of Blasphemous 2 on either console, the Collector’s Edition set will include a Steelbook case with exclusive artwork, a printed instruction manual created by The Game Kitchen (alongside a thank you letter from the team), a Marca del Martitio metal coin, three art cards with new illustrations, two CD’s of music composed by Carlos Viola alongside a collector’s CD cover with a code to download the digital soundtrack, a printed game guide with over 60 pages of Blasphemous lore and illustrations, and a certificate of authenticity. This will all be housed in a specially created premium finish collector’s box.
Blasphemous 2 sees the return of the supernatural entity The Miracle, leaving The Penitent One no choice but to explore a strange unfamiliar world, defeat the monstrosities that lay in wait, and try to stop the prophetic birth of a new miracle child from coming to pass.
The sequel to 2019’s soulslike is available now on the Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Physical versions are also available for consoles.
