Over 20 years after the release of Darkness Falls, the Tooth Fairy is once again set to terrorize the screen in a brand new upcoming horror movie, Deadline has reported this week.
“UK sales firm Architect is launching ahead of the EFM in Berlin,” Deadline reports.
The upcoming horror movie comes from the producers of Netflix streaming hit Nowhere, which was (via Deadline) “the streamer’s most-watched Spanish-language film ever.”
“The Spanish-language movie follows a series of child disappearances in a tight-knit rural community in Spain. As a social worker begins to dig into the village’s myths and legends, she discovers she has unwittingly reawakened a terrifying, vengeful spirit.”
Jordi Roca, who produces alongside Miguel Ruz, said, “We can’t wait to introduce Tony to the wider world – he’s a star in the making and he lives and breathes horror movies. Tooth Fairy, expanding his terrifying short film, is the perfect vehicle to showcase his talents. We’re delighted to be partnering with Reagent and Architect to bring Tony’s nightmare to life!”
Tooth Fairy is set to begin filming in Summer 2024, with Tony Morales directing. The film is actually an adaptation of Morales’ own 2015 short film, which was titled Hada.
