Behaviour Interactive are pulling out a little something special for Dead by Daylight fans on the game’s eighth anniversary. The developer has announced (and released!) What the Fog, a new two-person cooperative roguelite game set in the world of Dead by Daylight.
Available on PC via Steam for $4.99, Behaviour Interactive is also giving away two million copies of What the Fog for free to any user who signs into or creates a Behaviour Account.
What the Fog aims to answer the age-old question: What would happen if you and a friend were swallowed by a cursed board game? You’re about to find out, as this new co-op roguelite arms you with magic powers, non-stop action, and lots and lots of monsters.
You and your friend will have to learn to use your new abilities and work together as you run, jump, and shoot your way through swarms of enemies, collecting Bloodpoints, repairing Generators, and unlocking exit doors. Choose between Dead by Daylight’s Dwight, Claudette, or Feng Min and strategize your upgrades to build loadouts that complement each other. Even after you die, you stay in the aciotn, helping your partner tough it out until they can revive you.
As Vampire Survivors fans know, roguelites can be intense. Luckily, What the Fog’s combat and upgrades are easy to grasp, and its 8 different difficulty settings let you find the perfect challenge no matter your skill level. The idea is to focus on the fun of exciting runs across increasingly wild, randomly generated levels.
