Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 4K UHD from Warner Bros.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga drives onto home video on August 13 via Warner Bros. The fifth installment in the post-apocalyptic action franchise is presented on 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision/HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.
Mad Max creator George Miller directs from a script he co-wrote with Nico Lathouris (Mad Max: Fury Road). Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Alyla Browne, and Lachy Hulme star.
Five featurettes are included: Highway to Valhalla: In Pursuit of Furiosa, Stowaway to Nowhere, Metal Beasts & Holy Motors, Darkest Angel: Anya Taylor-Joy as Furiosa, and Motorbike Messiah: Chris Hemsworth as Dementus.
The Toxic Avenger Figure from Super 7
The Toxic Avenger is joining Super 7’s Ultimates action figure line. Due out in January, it costs $55.
The 7″ scale toy comes with two interchangeable heads, six interchangeable hands, and a mop with flag.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Poster from Dark Sky Films
Dark Sky Films continues its Texas Chain Saw Massacre’s 50th anniversary celebration with a new poster. The 18×24 screen print is limited to 200 for $35.
If your wall space is limited, the artwork is also available on T-shirts and trucker hats for $30 each.
Tarot Vinyl Soundtrack from Waxwork Records
Composed by Joseph Bishara (Insidious, The Conjuring), Tarot’s soundtrack is available on vinyl from Waxwork Records. Priced at $38, it will ship in July.
The 2xLP album is pressed on three-color hand-poured vinyl. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket with matte satin coating featuring art by creature designer Trevor Henderson, an 11×11 insert, and one of five tarot cards by Richard Wells.
Repo Man 4K UHD from Criterion
The Criterion Collection is bringing Repo Man to 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on September 3. The 1984 film has been newly restored in 4K with Dolby Vision HDR and uncompressed monaural sound.
Writer-director Alex Cox (Sid and Nancy) made his his feature debut with the sci-fi comedy. Harry Dean Stanton and Emilio Estevez star with Tracey Walter, Olivia Barash, Sy Richardson, Vonetta McGee, Fox Harris, and Dick Rude.
Special features include: commentary by Cox, Richardson, actors Zander Schloss and Del Zamora, executive producer Michael Nesmith, and casting director Victoria Thomas; interviews with Barash, Rude, actor Miguel Sandoval, and musicians Iggy Pop and Keith Morris; deleted scenes; a cast and crew roundtable; the TV version of the film; and trailers.
