Lionsgate Horror Movie ‘Mommy’s Home’ Unfreezes a Cryogenically Preserved Mother

Filmmaker James Morosini (I Love My Dad) will write and direct the psychological horror movie Mommy’s Home for Lionsgate, Deadline reports this afternoon.

Deadline details, “The story follows a young dad whose family life becomes terrifyingly unhinged when his 24-year-old mom is unfrozen decades after being cryogenically preserved.”

Producers include Craig Flores, Dawn Olmstead, and Anonymous Content. David Levine, Garrett Kemble and Ryan Schwartz will executive produce on behalf of Anonymous Content, with Scott O’Brien and Jon Humphrey overseeing the project for Lionsgate.

It’s interesting to note that James Morosini is also an actor, starring in FX’s “American Horror Story” and the upcoming Netflix-purchased horror movie It’s What’s Inside.

Stay tuned for more on Mommy’s Home as we learn it.
