Free League Publishing Previews the New Maps for the 2nd Edition of ‘Alien RPG’

With the Kickstarter for the 2nd Edition of Alien RPG coming up later this year, Free League Publishing has revealed the first new content for the TTRPG in the form of some brand-new maps for the USCSS Fidanza M-Class Commercial Towing Vessel and Jeremiah VI Mining Colony. You can get a preview of the maps below.

Designed to scale for the new RPG miniatures that are also part of the upcoming Kickstarter, as well as the expanded stealth mode in the updated game rules, these detailed, full-color maps will measure 34×22 inches, and are designed by acclaimed map artist Miska Fredman (Astraterra). Using these maps, the miniatures, and the updated rules, Alien RPG 2nd Edition can even be played as a miniatures skirmish game.

The maps feature two decks of the USCSS Fidanza, a Nostromo-style spaceship, and the mining colony Jeremiah VI. Both are included in the new cinematic adventure Rapture Protocol, which is written by Jonathan Hicks and Free League’s Tomas Härenstam. Similar maps of the Hadley’s Hope colony (as seen in Aliens) will be included in the Hope’s Last Day Starter Set.

Set to launch later this Fall, the Kickstarter will include updated and expanded core rules for Alien RPG, the new Hope’s Last Day Starter Set, and the new cinematic scenario Rapture Protocol, which includes a miniatures set. All of the existing game material from the first edition will be compatible with this new edition, and you will even be able to play the new edition expansions with the first edition rules.
