Tom Savini and Elvira Coming to ‘Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game’!

Another “out of left field” moment for sure. Ahead of the physical release next month for Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game, IllFonic has dropped a massive bomb that effects legend Tom Savini and Elvira will be joining the game as the newest characters today for the asymmetrical multiplayer title.

Elvira and Tom Savini are special character skins for female and male humans, respectively. The two ’80s horror icons arrive just in time for Halloween to put a fun spin on the Klown chasing horror. And, as detailed in the game’s roadmap, there will be a new map arriving next month for fans to enjoy.

And just in case you don’t know (because hey, we all didn’t know at some point), Elvira, portrayed by Cassandra Peterson, is a fictional horror hostess known for her campy, charismatic persona. Debuting in the 1980s, she gained fame hosting late-night horror movie broadcasts, characterized by her striking look—a plunging black gown, dramatic makeup, and long dark hair. Elvira’s blend of gothic glam and cheeky humor, often poking fun at horror clichés, made her a pop culture icon.

Meanwhile, Savini is the legendary effects artist from films such as Dawn of the Dead, Friday the 13th and countless others. Savini’s innovative techniques in creating realistic gore and prosthetics have earned him a prominent place in horror history. In addition to his effects work, he has acted in various films and television shows, showcasing his multifaceted talent in the industry.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series. And check out our review to see just what all the fuss is about.
