Just as promised, Phasmophobia fans who have been waiting for what seems like forever for the game to hit PlayStation and Xbox will finally have relief on October 29. Players on PlayStation 5, PSVR2, Xbox Series and Steam will finally be able to team up with friends to enjoy the exhilaration of hunting for and being hunted by a range of ghosts, ghouls and spirits on whatever platform they play on.
The PlayStation and Xbox release is still the Early Access version, with the full version of Phasmophobia expected on all platforms later this year.
“We are so happy to see Phasmophobia enter console early access,” said Daniel Knight, CEO and Lead Developer at Kinetic Games. “The community has been asking for console versions, and has waited a little while for it to happen. The development team at Kinetic Games have worked exceptionally hard to make this request a reality.”
To further celebrate, there will be a Halloween Special event that, for the first time, will include a community goal-oriented task where players on all platforms can work together to permanently unlock the Blood Moon weather in the game. Additionally, players will be able to earn a new badge and trophy by completing different community goals.
Lastly, the PC version will also be receiving an update which will improve general performance, fix community reported bugs, as well as implementing a new event board with new challenges and rewards.
