‘Stranger Things VR’ Heads to PlayStation VR2, SteamVR on December 5 [Trailer]

Coinciding with the announcement that Stranger Things 5 will finally be coming next year, Tender Claws took the opportunity to announce that Stranger Things VR will be launching on the PlayStation VR2 and Steam on December 5. As an added bonus for PlayStation Plus members, you can grab Stranger Things VR with an added 20% discount.

Originally launching for the Meta Quest 2 and Quest 3 this past February, Stranger Things VR  puts players in control as Vecna, as he explores unknown realities, forms the hive mind, and enacts his plan for revenge against Eleven and Hawkins. Players will invade the dreams and memories of fan-favorite characters and harness telekinetic powers to possess minds and battle creatures, as Henry Creel’s transformation into Vecna and his influence on the events of prior seasons is revealed.

Players will be able to grab, crush and throw their opponents using telekinesis, and relive memories from Henry’s time at Hawkins Lab with Dr. Brenner as you explore an otherworldly, interconnected hive mind. You’ll also be inhabiting the dreams and memories of fan-favorite characters like Will Byers and Billy Hargrove as you manipulate them to do your bidding.

Stranger Things 5, the final season of the hit Netflix series, will air sometime in 2025. David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder and Maya Hawke will return for the final season, joined by new faces including Linda Hamilton (Terminator), Nell Fisher (Evil Dead Rise), Jake Connelly and Alex Breaux.
