Check Out Ghostface in Action in New ‘Mortal Kombat 1’ Gameplay Trailer [Watch]

With Ghostface joining the Mortal Kombat 1 roster next week, NetherRealm has released the official gameplay trailer for the Scream slasher, which as one might expect, sees Ghostface putting his knives to good use. Not only that, but his Fatality is perfectly in line with Scream‘s self-referential themes.

Panic has seized the realms as its citizens fear for who might be Ghostface’s next victim. The many killers who have worn the Ghostface mask all share a horrifying trait: they take joy in inflicting pain and taking lives. Armed with a menacing knife, an encyclopedic knowledge of horror films, and a psychopathic compulsion to torture, Ghostface has become an infamous symbol of terror.

Ghostface’s moveset features the signature hunting knife to inflict pain on opponents, crawling skills for sneaky ground level attacks, and the ability to phone in a fellow Ghostface partner to help finish off victims.

We also get to see a glimpse of Ghostface’s Animality, which appropriately sees him transforming into a vulture for a bloody feast.

Ghostface will be available via Early Access on November 19 for those who bought the Khaos Reigns expansion, Kollection or bundle. Everyone else will have access to Ghostface on November 26.

Ghostface will eventually be joined by the two other guest characters in the Khaos Reigns expansion:  the T-1000 featuring the voice and likeness of actor Robert Patrick; and Conan the Barbarian, featuring the likeness of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
