Kinetic Games’ runaway hit Phasmophobia hit Steam a year ago, and to celebrate, the devs have unveiled a new update. Sure, they’ve been constantly updating the game with new ghosts and tweaks to gameplay, but this update aims to improve quality of life for some players.
For one, the update overhauls the journal, allowing you to easily track the evidence you’ve collected, and evidence can be crossed off as you go. Also, if you happen to blow your contract, you no longer get $10. Instead, you get the insurance, depending on the chosen difficulty.
Speaking of failure, you will also now know what ghost caused you to fail the contract. And in case you can’t connect to a server, you now have the option to play offline singleplayer.
The devs obviously appreciate the support from the community, as indicated by the update. “It has been an amazing year for Kinetic Games and Phasmophobia and I would like to thank everyone for their amazing support. Today, Phasmophobia is one of the highest rated games on Steam which is incredible and something I never imagined happening.”
