Just in case you didn’t hear, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. In addition to the digital version, PlayStation and Xbox players can also snag the physical version of the game at major retailers.
Inspired by Paramount Pictures’ critically-acclaimed A Quiet Place franchise, players must use their wits, along with whatever tools they can find, to stay silent and survive the deadly creatures stalking their every move.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead launches today accompanied by a free day-one update introducing the “Microphone Noise Detection” feature. When enabled, this mode utilizes a connected microphone to capture any real-life noise, transforming it into in-game sound that the creatures can detect. Experience tension and suspense on an entirely new level as you strive to remain silent in the face of fear.
The story for The Road Ahead centres around Alex, a young college student suffering from asthma and struggling to survive the end of the world alongside her boyfriend, Martin. But the nightmarish extraterrestrial creatures stalking her aren’t the only threat she’ll have to contend with, as she must through the ruins of civilization in search of a safe haven for herself and her family.
