Bodies Bodies Bodies is heading to theaters on August 5, 2022, and this morning A24 follows up yesterday’s poster reveal with the first official trailer.
The Bodies Bodies Bodies trailer teases just how insane A24’s latest will get, both in biting humor and bloody violence, as it transforms a seemingly benign party game into something far deadlier when a friend group implodes. Watch the trailer below!
A24’s Bodies Bodies Bodies has been rated “R” for…
“Violence, bloody images, drug use, sexual references, and pervasive language.”
In the A24 horror-comedy, “When a group of rich 20-somethings plan a hurricane party at a remote family mansion, a party game turns deadly in this fresh and funny look at backstabbing, fake friends, and one party gone very, very wrong.”
I wrote in my review for BD, “Using a familiar social deduction game to implode an affluent group of fake friends in the most heinous way makes for a dementedly fun time that’s just as mean-spirited with the horror as it is the comedy.”
The cast for Bodies Bodies Bodies includes Amandla Stenberg (The Hate U Give), Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm), Pete Davidson (The Suicide Squad), Rachel Sennott (Shiva Baby), Myha’la Herrold (Generation), Chase Sui Wonders (Palm Springs), and Lee Pace (Guardians of the Galaxy).
Halina Reijn directed Bodies Bodies Bodies for A24, written by Kristen Roupenian, Sarah Delappe, Chloe Okuno (V/H/S/94, Watcher), Joshua Sharp, and Aaron Jackson. Bodies Bodies Bodies, which made its World Premiere at the SXSW Film Festival, marks Reijn’s sophomore effort after debuting with thriller Instinct.
