If you were still on the fence about snagging the Abducted Edition of Perp Games’ The Greyhill Incident when it arrives in June, the developers have announced that this version of the game will have a special ‘Found Footage’ mode. What’s that, you ask? You can see for yourself with the new video.
Essentially, the Found Footage mode adds a cliché (but still creepy) grainy black-and-white handheld video camera filter to the visuals of The Greyhill Incident that will no doubt only enhance the tension and scares. It really does look like you’re viewing the game through a camcorder, right down to the rolling picture.
And in case you missed it, PlayStation owners will also have the opportunity to snag a Physical version of the Abducted Edition. This includes the game, as well as a guide to creating a tinfoil hat, a newspaper clipping that details the first alien invasion, and the game’s digital soundtrack.
Inspired by ‘true incidents’, books, TV shows & films from Fire in The Sky to “The X-Files”, Communion and more, Greyhill Incident is a story-driven Survival Horror game that takes place during the early 90s in the town of Greyhill. You are Ryan Baker, and there’s an alien invasion underway. It’s up to you and your neighbours to work together to fend off the aliens from abducting everyone. That involves boarding up houses, establishing a neighbourhood watch, and using stealth tactics to navigate the town and avoid detection.
The Abducted Edition of The Greyhill Incident will be available digitally on consoles and PC on June 9th, the same day as the Standard Edition of the game is released on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
