In 2004, Charlize Theron won an Oscar for playing Aileen Wuornos, America’s most notorious female serial killer, in Monster. Now, “Cobra Kai” actress Peyton List is taking over the role for Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman, a brand new true crime feature.
Based on Aileen Wuornos’s early life in 1976, the film follows America’s most notorious female serial killer in Florida when she marries an older wealthy Yacht Club president only to inflict mayhem within her new family and Florida’s high society.
Check out this exclusive clip in which Peyton’s Aileen Wuornos meets Tobin Bell (Saw franchise) for the very first time.
Also starring are Lydia Hearst (The Haunting Of Sharon Tate), Nick Vallelonga (Green Book), Swen Temmel (In Time, Backtrace), Meadow Williams (Boss Level. Den Of Thieves), and Andrew Biernat (Shadow’s Edge).
Daniel Farrands (Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman) wrote and directed.
The film will hit US VOD on October 8 and DVD October 15, via Dark Star Pictures.
