As was revealed a few weeks back, Cold Iron Studios’ Aliens: Fireteam Elite is now available on the Nintendo Switch. In addition, the new “Terminal Containment” update for the game has also finally arrived, bringing with it Fireteam Elite‘s fourth horde map.
The update, which is available across consoles and PC, sees players navigating through a single-floor interior map with several entry points, all the while fighting off waves of Xenomorphs. The central control room offers a reliable location to mount defenses, but in order to survive, players will need to check every angle and coordinate with their team. If you make it through at least 10 waves on Intense, Extreme or Insane difficulty levels, you’ll be rewarded with new cosmetic items in the Duplicity weapon skin and Game Over decal.
The Switch version of Aliens: Fireteam Elite, which you can snag from the Nintendo eShop, features crossplay capabilities across all platforms, allowing Switch players to team up with players on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
The Switch version is also available in three flavours: the $29.99 standard base game, the “Into The Hive” edition for $39.99, and the Ultimate Edition for $59.99. The “Into The Hive” edition includes the base game and the Pathogen expansion, whereas the Ultimate Edition includes all that, plus the Endeavor Pass and Endeavor Veteran Pack.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite is also available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
