The director of The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Marc Webb has set up his next project, with Deadline announcing thriller Day Drinker this afternoon.
The film is being billed as a “supernatural thriller,” said to be “based around the bond between an enigmatic stranger and a bartender mourning the loss of her lover.”
Deadline also notes in their report today that Day Drinker is “set in coastal France, Portugal, and Spain,” with story elements including “love, friendship, and revenge.”
Zach Dean (The Tomorrow War) wrote the script for Day Drinker.
In addition to the two Amazing Spider-Man movies starring Andrew Garfield, Marc Webb also directed 500 Days of Summer and two episodes of R.L. Stine’s “Just Beyond.”
Webb is also directing the next version of Disney’s Snow White.
