AMC Theatres recently launched a hilarious $25M campaign in an attempt to coerce film fans back to theaters. Not only was it overly long and insanely pretentious, but it comically took shared credit for being part of the movie-making process. They’ve since shortened the spot, which follows Nicole Kidman – you know, every teenager’s favorite actor – as she arrives at an AMC Theater…just in time for 20 minutes of previews.
YouTuber Cleverkio pokes fun at the campaign by swapping out footage of classics* like Jurassic World, Wonder Woman, and La La Land with The Exorcist and Child’s Play, but also throws a hilarious jab at AMC’s selections with the inclusion of Halloween: Resurrection (unrelated to Matrix Resurrections).
