Amnesia: The Bunker can’t seem to catch a break, it seems. Having already been delayed twice, the game is being delayed yet again. This time, however, it’s only for two weeks.
Taking to Frictional Games’ Twitter, Amnesia: The Bunker‘s Creative Lead Fredrik Olsson relayed the news that the game will now release on June 6. The reasoning for the delay is due to “rare crashes” that have occurred during the game’s certification process that have been difficult to identify. As a result, the team needs to get them squashed before release.
The new release date does pose another issue for The Bunker, as it will now be competing against Blizzard’s Diablo IV, which will be releasing the same day.
There is some good news to come out of this, as Frictional is planning to release a demo on Steam on May 22, which will give fans a taste of what to expect once Amnesia: The Bunker finally arrives.
Set during World War 1, Amnesia: The Bunker will have players taking on the role of Henri Clement, a French soldier who is left behind by his battalion and finds himself trapped inside an abandoned military bunker. But he’s not alone. A deadly creature stalks the corridors, hunting for its next meal.
Amnesia: The Bunker is set to release for the Xbox Series, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
