With the debut season wrapping up next week, we’ve learned today that FX has made the decision to renew Ryan Murphy’s spinoff “American Horror Stories” for a second season.
Via Deadline, Season 2 will premiere sometime in 2022.
The spinoff anthology features hour-long contained episodes, and it’s exclusively available through FX on Hulu each week. The new series mostly tells original stories unconnected to the main “AHS” series, though Season 1 has been book-ended by a “Murder House” continuation. On that note, the Season 1 finale, titled “Game Over,” premieres August 19.
Deadline notes, “According to FX, American Horror Stories marked the most successful launch of any FX on Hulu series to date.” No surprise there, as “AHS” has long been a hit franchise.
Meanwhile, the 10th season of the main “American Horror Story” series, titled “American Horror Story: Double Feature,” will be premiering on FX on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
